This Gretsch made, jumbo archtop electric guitar was offered for sale through the Montgomery Ward Mail Order Catalog in 1952-1953.

I was able to buy an original vintage copy of the 1952-53 Montgomery Ward catalog (through Ebay of course.) in order to verify this exact guitar model, and features.

The original hand sketched advertisement appeared on catalog page number 803, detailing the following features for this exact guitar model.

I HAVE A BACON BELMONT GUITAR EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE EXCEPT I ONLY HAVE 3 KNOBS.I AM THE SECOND OWNER (about 1956) AND THE ORIGINAL IS STILL ALIVE.
