This is a 1952 ES 175 dual humbucking P/U, single cutaway, large hollowbody, arch top guitar. The finish was professionally done using a violin polish. There is some wear on the back of the V type neck, and a few small dings, but overall it is one of the most tastefully done refins that ever seen. The guitar was also refretted and had the binding replaced on the neck. When the guitar was purchased it came with a compensating bridge.
After replacing that bridge with the 1950's fixed wooden bridge, the action was unbelievably low and still had no buzz or fretting out. The brass threaded ring that raises and lowers the bridge was replaced replaced with a round brass shim that is only a few thousandths of an inch thick. Incredible action for a 54 year old neck. A set of Kluson Pat Pending tuners has been installed on the head. these are the correct single ring pearloid keystone tuners used from 1947 through 1952. The only issue is that the holes for the pegs were enlarged for Grovers. A thin rubber heat shrink has been placed around each ferrule and it appears to work great. The Grovers as well as the compensating bridge are available. Hardshell case.
