This is a VERY RARE, STANDEL Custom Deluxe electric solid body guitar. Most likely a Model 101. It was most likely made by Semie Moseley of the Mosrite guitar fame for Bob Crooks of Standel. Made in the USA. VERY, VERY COOL GUITAR. CHECK OUT THE COLOR. Original case. The cover on the case is a black ostrich skin design. WOW.
Features include: Original Grover Pat. Pend. U.S.A. tuners, Fender 12 string style headstock, zero fret, 22 fret neck, nicely bound rosewood fretboard, pearly dot markers on the finger board, RED dot markers on the binding, resin or wax filled single coil pickups, on/off switch for each pickup, 'red' tone rocker switch, two volume controls, two tone controls, tremolo system, chrome pick guard, plexiglass control cover, German routed body. The potentiometers are coded 137 6620 and 6615 so made the 15th and 20th weeks of 1966. The books say these were made in 1967 and 1968 so either Semie had some old pots or this is an earlier model.
The guitar is in AWESOME condition for a 40 year old and PLAYS GREAT. The neck is straight. There are typical nicks and dings around the body and the headstock. The body and neck have faded to two different shades of lavender.

I have this guitar. Paid $25 at a pawn shop in Memphis in 1978. Sadly, original white plastic plate was cracked and switches destroyed. Custom plate and switch added. The chrome is great for blinding the audience at my whim.
