You may search but you will not find a better condition all original 1964 Guild Jet Star S-50 - we acquired this one from the original and only owner of the guitar.  The serial number 35883 confirms it was produced in 1964.  This Jet Star is in ALL ORIGINAL condition with chrome which shines like new on the single pickup in middle position and it even has the chrome flip-top cover over the bridge which is usually missing.  It has one volume and one tone control knob which are also original.  The solid mahogany body has some dings and dents which I have tried to show in the pictures but it is in overall remarkable condition for a 43 year old guitar.  It has the asymmetrical headstock which was available up until 1965 with pearl Guild inlay that is all intact.  The guitar is FULLY FUNCTIONAL, clean, crisp and has that awesome 60’s electric sound.  The frets are in excellent shape and the neck is straight.  Most impressive is the very low action which makes it easy to play and with only a single pickup it seems wide open in the picking area.  So, it is easy to finger-pick.  Best of all the guitar has the original Guild fitted softshell case which is in great condition but is missing the original plastic handle however all of the metal parts are intact such a replacement handle could be easily installed.

According to “The Official Vintage Guitar Magazine Price Guide 2006” by Alan Greenwood & Gil Hembree, (SEE PICTURE) this particular model sells for between a low of $800 and high of $1200.  As we are into 2007 and quality all original Guild Guitars become harder to find and the prices continue to climb we believe this highly collectible excellent condition all original Guild Jet Star S-50 will attract top dollar.  We buy and trade only Guild Guitars, shipping them all over the world on a regular basis, and our experience dictates this is a...

I have the identical guitar and have lovingly protected it from anyone and anything. I play it occasionally and it is always sweet
