Gretsch Model 30 Archtop Acoustic 1930s Vintage Guitar

This is a very cool and wonderfull playing vintage Gretsch guitar.

I believe it is a 1939 Model 30. these were made between 1933 up to 1949. Serial #7023

Last one I saw on Ebay in this good of condition was listed at $1500 a few months ago but it had original case and paperwork.

All Original Guitar: except for replaced tuners ( right period tuners. that look good )

2-color sunburst finish.I think they called this a raccoon finish..  Finish is in amazingly good shape. very light crazing in spots, and of course expect some light scratching and nicks. Finish is worn in the usual places where guitar is held and where fingers rub on the neck. There are no cracks in the wood.

Beautiful rosewood fret board, very good condition, nice coloring ( looks like Brazilian Rosewood )

Medium frets look amazingly in great shape. They show hardly any wear. Seriously.

Mother of pearl top binding with white plastic type edge binding. Top pearl binding is in excellent shape. Edge plastic binding is cracked in three spots, and is showing its age, some shrinkage etc. Not bad overall considering its age is almost 70 years.

Black Bakelite pick guard

Rosewood adjustable bridge. Bridge shows some slight carving for correct intonation on the high E string

Wonderful Gretsch inscribed chrome tail piece All original.  Very cool looking.

Solid spruce top. sides and back look solid but I am not sure. Back edges are rough in spots, typical considering again its age.

Head stock has a veneer rosewood cap with a Gretsch hand inlaid logo carved into it. This is very sweet looking. obviously done by hand.

Guitar weighs 4.5 lbs, 42'' long x 16'' at the base and 3.5'' thick at the...

I have a model 30 and was wondering what the original tuning keys were, or what brand they were. It has the almost same description as that one. Same wear in same places.
