1989 White Rickenbacker 325/OHC
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2006-08-11)
Price : US $1,295
Up for auction is a rare white Rickenbacker 325 that is in excellent condition and in perfect working order.
The three toaster top pickups and three quarter scale neck gives you the Lennon look and tone. The semi-hollow maple body gives this guitar a resonant tone and the white color is a beautifully aged or I like to say, reliced.
Because of the short scale length The lacquered rosewood fretboard is comfortable and very easy to play and show very little wear. The frets are in excellent condition other than a small chip on lacquer at the 11th fret .
The toaster top pickups have the bright, jangly tone that only a Rickenbacker can provide. The non original Bigsby tremolo is well worn in and works smoothly. The small holes for the original tailpeice have been filled. The headstock sports original Kluson tuning machines.
The finish is in great shape. There are a couple of spots on the headstock and body that have discolored and yellowed a bit. There are also some small chips around the bottom strap button and minor scuffs and scratches on the back of the instrument.
Overall, this is an excellent Rick that captures the spirit of the British Invasion. Whether itís Shea stadium or your garage, this axe is the one for you.
The original hardshell case is included.
