JACKSON USA SOLOIST 1988
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2006-07-12)
Price : US $710
This is a unique neck-thru Jackson USA guitar, presumably a Soloist. A nice customer has informed us that the finish is called GRANITE. The fretboard is ebony with sharkstooth pearloid inlays. This guitar has been outfitted with an active EMG 81 humbucking pickup system, which is its only pickup. The hardware is all black, and the tuning machines say Jackson on them. The tremolo is ''Licensed Under Floyd Rose Patents,'' which might not be original. According to the Jackson website serial number chart, it was made in Ontario, California, USA in 1988. There are a few nicks in the paint job (all shown in pictures) but because it is a splatter finish most of them aren't noticable from five feet away. One spot along the neck binding is missing a chunk of paint which might require some fine sanding for smooth play. The only visible fret wear is minor and below the G, B, and high E strings on the 1st through 7th frets.
A gray molded Jackson hardshell case is included.
