Suzuki Three S Model F-200.

Greetings from Australia.

Just submitting this one as my introduction to the museum/site 'curator'.

Mid 70s Suzuki Three S F-200. MIJ

A passable approximation of late 60s-early 70s Mar*in D-28(give or take an inlay). Sounds a lot like...something worth thousands at a vintage dealer! Not naming brands, but it appears to have a Spruce soundboard and Rosewood back and sides.Neck is unknown? Probably mahogany, might be rosewood but the grain is not distinct like the body. I'm guessing mahogany due to the fact its heavily stained, the binding& cap on the neck heel is missing. The bare neck timber is light pinkish-brown with tight, close grain. Cedar??

No Matter, guitar plays absolutely great, best Japanese acoustic I've ever heard... Have had this for over ten years, got it cheap off a friend in a trade for some old car parts.Very minor grain split/cracks in soundboard lacquer around where forearm rests from an ancient mishap. Tech/pro luthier says proper repair could involve refinishing the top,and possibly even require removing it & risking damaging the 7 layer top binding too...$$$! It's stable,so it plays fine... I'm keeping this one. maybe I can get a good maple Gibson copy here too?? Or a proper J-(or SJ)series...

Seriously,I'm interested in any other Triple S models that may be for sale.Seeking out unusual hollow body electric guitars as well,or maybe a good Maccaferri copy!
