Appears to be a close copy of a Martin D-45. Similar appointments: dreadnaught body w/X-bracing, 14/20-fret, lots of abalone including around the soundhole, body binding trim, hex fretboard inlays, and headstock. Tortoise shell pickguard, moustache style bridge, Grover tuners. Solid top, back and sides, symmetrical \"V\" design on back w/ gorgeous figured rosewood tri-color. Fantastic sound, open with solid bass overtones. I found it in a pawn shop in 2004 for $35, it was a little road worn but still very playable. The label says, \"Model V-35, Serial No. 304xx, Designed in USA, built in Japan. It was built in the 1970\'s, as it matches a catalog ad from 1970. It reminds me of a comfortable, broke-in pair of shoes, and is my other fav (97 Gibson CL-20 Std Plus). This 40-yr old guitar will stay with me a long time.
