1988 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 All Original
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2006-07-16)
Price : US $3,151
You are bidding on a one-piece 1988 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24. This entirely hand crafted one-owner vintage PRS is in fantastic condition with no major marks or scratches as evidenced in the photos.
The guitar body is mahogany with a figured maple top. The mahogany neck is the favored wide/thin profile and the fingerboard is Brazilian rosewood that is no longer available. It is inlaid with the classic abalone “birds in flight” inlay pattern.
The three original knobs on the body are for volume, tone and a five-way toggle. Everything is as you’d expect on such a guitar and all components and solder points are in original condition. Also included is the original tremolo arm and PRS hard-shell case for which I no longer have the key.
This guitar will be twenty years old in a few months but does not show its age. There is a nice patina on the bridge and pick-ups which I have never disturbed.
Underneath the bridge pick-up is written in black marker “84768 Grey/Black REM”. This number matches the serial number on the back of the headstock.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I am not a PRS expert, only a player who has enjoyed the finest guitar I have ever played –bar none- in my lifetime.
Accepted payments: Paypal, Money Order or Cashiers Check.
Buyer pays for shipping costs only.

The knob for tone is the ''sweet switch''. I was not familliar with the PRS lingo when I posted the auction.
