In my house, the rule is ''if I buy a guitar, I have to sell a guitar''. Just picked up a Jeff Beck strat, so this one has to go. And this one is a beauty.
Made in the Fender Custom Shop in Corona, California, October 25, 2002, under the supervision of Gordon Parkman, this is a one-off manufactured by special order then shipped to Hermes Music Shop in Texas. No one at Fender could tell me who it was created for, but they did confirm by its serial number that it was a unique, one of a kind, specially ordered piece. It is a Custom Classic model Stratocaster with all of the features usually found on these Custom Shop versions of the Fender American Series models, absolutely beautiful ash body, lightly-figured V-shaped maple neck with maple fingerboard, 9.5” radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets, three-ply pickguard, aged white plastic parts, and a Custom Classic two-point synchronized tremolo with milled solid-stainless saddles, solid steel spring block and pop-in arm, master volume control, two tone controls, and 5 blade switching (Position 1 Bridge Pickup, Position 2 Bridge and Middle Pickup, Position 3 Middle Pickup, Position 4 Middle and Neck Pickup, Position 5 Neck Pickup).
It also sports several unique features not usually found on Custom Classics, such as: Made in USA Sperzel locking tuners, two Modern Classic single-coil pickups and a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge, curly maple headstock, roller nut (I think its an LSR roller nut), and an absolutely breathtaking orange lacquer finish that really shows off the ash woodgrain. Its in great condition, comes with original Fender hardshell locking case (and keys), Fender Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, tremolo springs, tremolo bar, and strap, all as shown in the photos.
Please note that my Feedback is 100%, and I...
