Great player's Gibson SG. Pot numbers are 1374xx, indicating 1974. I believe it is all original, though it's possible there was a re-fret, because they're in pretty good shape, and NOT fretless wonders. This guitar stays in tune really well. The Grover tuners are probably the best I've ever had. If you haven't tried a vintage SG, you should really consider it - the tone is just so sweet with the wood Gibson used at the time. Grover tuners, ebony fretboard, two humbuckers (I believe they are original). There are two issues with it - first, there was a headstock break as is very common with SGs from this time period. It was repaired very well and does not affect playability or the ability of the guitar to stay in tune at all. If you do some research, you'll find that the glue to repair a headstock break is usually stronger than the original unbroken wood, so no worries. Second, the input jack was torn out at one time, and when the owner repaired it, he left a heat lamp on it for too long, which caused some melting around the input jack. All electronics work great with no issues, including the input jack. Other than that, the guitar has its share of dings and nicks, but it plays and sounds awesome. The sustain and tone on this guitar are outstanding. This is a great way to get a vintage SG for a great price. Includes hard shell case as pictured (three latches work, but two are broken).
