DESCRIPTION
Larson Brothers made Maurer 491. This instrument is very common in regards to early 1930's Larson made Maurer's with minimal ornamentation, no multi colored wood bindings, soundhole binding or back binding. It fits the description of what is commonly seen on many early Euphonon guitars. This is an X braced guitar with some interesting internal features. It has a Mahogany bridge plate as well as Mahogany soundboard finger braces. All internal bracing are original and intact. Also this guitar has August Larson's initials on the soundboard!!! The initials flank the stamp date of August 26th 1930 clearly pictured below. You don't often see their signature inside instruments. All parts and finish are original comes with newer TKL case.
