Up for your review is a vintage ES 175 guitar with a single P 90 pickup. Gibson hard case is not original. Still researching the time of manufacturer for the guitar; however I will include the 2 numbers in the f holes. My estimate based on preliminary information is that it might be late 40s or early to mid 50s. I am sure some one out there is going to set me straight on this question. Top f hole where the oval laber resides is a 4 digit number 6_ _ 9. The bottom f hole number is ink stamped and is 55_ _ 16. No head stamp. Guitar was recently set up at Strait Music in Austin. Plays excellent. Action low, Intonation set and no fret buzz. Neck straight, frets good shape, and P 90 sounds proper. Chicken beak tone and volume controls Tobacco color is real decent all the way around. the binding color has a nice patina. Surpisingly minimal bumps and bruises on this guitar. I have had this guitar for about 8 years. Now for the items to scruntize. Some natural uniform crazing in the finish through out the guitar. Missing the pick guard and hold down bracket. Pick guard anchor pin in place and screw hole present on side of wall below bottom f hole. Adjacent to the bottom f hole at the interface of the side wall to binding the top panel and binding shows 1/32 of an inch lifting seperation and approximately 1.75 inch long. The original tuner keys were removed by me last year because the one for the G string would not hold it in tune. Yes, I kept the originals and the screws. No mods required to use new tuners. Backwards compatible exactly. By the way the tuners have the following information interior Pat Appld. Exterior: Kluson deluxe written in a vertical man
