1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior
This guitar is no longer for sale (sold on 2011-05-23)
Price : US $ 3900
This is faded cherry with the original finish.
All electronics are original (P90 pickup, Tone & Volume Pots, Cap etc.)
The 3 digit serial is 1960 vintage. In addition, the pot has a 1960 date stamp on it.
The tuners were changed back to the original Klusons (from Shalers). The tuner buttons are replacements.
It has the original pick guard and tone top hat dials.
The bridge is a Pigtail replacement stop tail. It intonates very well.
I will also include the "Badass" bridge that was on it when I purchased it.
There are a few dings in the wood from the original bridge.
The case is a SKB hardshell case with TSA locks.
I have to lock the case at night because this guitar is so mean and angry it will kick the case open on its own.
The neck plays like a dream. It has a thin profile.
There are no repairs in the neck and it's tight to the body and straight.
The Brazillian rosewood fretboard is impeccable.
The frets have very even wear with no divots. They are in excellent shape.
It rings out even unplugged.
You will see neck wear on the back, but this has no impact on playability.
There are dings and nicks on the guitar face, and edges and I have done my best to capture those.
There is also belt buckle "worming" on the back. I included a photo that really accentuates it.
There is a small 2" grain crack on the back that is very stable.
The Gibson logo is fading slightly, but very readable.
