1963 Vintage Harmony H165 All Solid Mahogany – 000 Auditorium Style (made in the U.S.A.) FULLY RESTORED by noted luthier Marty Reynolds of The Podium in Minnalapitis, MN. in 2009. The Guitar is in Excellent Condition but it does have some very minor scratches, and a few small dings that you would expect from a guitar of this age. The Harmony H165 guitar was handcrafted with solid Figured Mahogany back, sides and a book matched top. It is sometimes referred to as “The Poor Man’s Martin” because if closely resembles vintage 000-17 / 000-15 Martin Guitars. Martin guitars of this vintage and quality can easily sell for 4 times as much. The guitar has amazing balance and tone. The rosette is simple and not overstated and the 14-fret neck with rosewood 19-fret fingerboard features a dot peal inlaid pattern with dot fret markers and Harmony / MADE IN U.S.A. headstock logo. The guitar is also appointed with a rectangle rosewood bridge, a tortoise pick guard and new nickel plated geared machines.
The Restoration included such items as a complete neck & truss rod reset, fret board leveling, new frets, addition of fret markers, new tuners, inspection / repairing of any & all braces, new bridge, new saddle, new nut and complete setup.
The guitar is strung with Elixir strings and comes with a new premium arched-top hard-shell case (green lining) to properly protect this fine instrument.
