THIS ITEM IS BEING RELISTED BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER RAN INTO FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES AND ASKED TO WITHDRAW

You are bidding on a Karl Hauser 6-strong classical guitar imported from Germany in approximately 1966.  This guitar is in VG condition, as rated by George Gruhn of Gruhn guitars in Nashville.  Gruhn's has valuated this guitar as between $800 and $1000.

The guitar is made of European curly maple sides and back, spruce top and rosewood fretboard.  It is used and has a minor surface crack (photo available upon request).  It plays exceptionally well and remains in tune throughout the neck.

This guitar would make a great Christmas gift for the student wanting a better than average guitar or the serious player who wants a good practice instrument.  It is a student-level guitar, hence the bidding price instead of another zero or two added on.

The guitar comes with its original case.

When I was graduated from high school in 1971, my family and relatives gave me money for my graduation present. I used the money to purchase a Karl Hauser classical guitar, which was handcrafted in West Germany. I still own it 40 years later (June of 2011 will be 40 years). This is a beautiful instrument with a beautiful sound. I loved the quality of the sound and tone much better than the Gibson, which is why I bought the Hauser instead of the Gibson. I have never regretted this decision. I have always been happy with this instrument. The neck fit my hand well and is easy to play. I do not know why it is so difficult to find information on these instruments. The quality of these instruments is exceptional!
